About Us
Kingsley show team moved to Colonist farm stables in the middle of the 2011 show season. Our yard comprises of 8 large stables, Large hay/storage barn, Large tackroom, sand school and 6 acres of land.
When we first moved to Colonist Farm Stables, the yard was a mess and nearly falling to peices. The sand school was just a large deserted area and the Paddocks had a load of trees in.
We decided that we needed to change all of this and that was with hard work and determination produced by our team and our Land Lord.
We had our sand school completely redone and a surface made with sand and small rubber grains put down to replace the hard chalky surface that was on the base of the sand school. Our Land Lord cut down all of the trees in our paddocks and had a prefessional team down to remove the trees stalks and roots from the ground and to put up post and rail all up.
The yard now looks more preffesional. Ontop of this we also have two large all-weather paddocks, which is use in the winter as an alternative turnout for the horses.
Our horses are turned out in the day and are stabled with deep litter beds with large banks (we only ever use Hunter Shavings and short chopped straw mix) and large haynets and a large bucket of water each.
All of our horses treat all of our ponies as a normal pony should be treated. Most of our "unbroken" ponies are broken and schooled on by Georgia or Jordan.
At kingsley show team, we all have a great passion for horses, and are all schooled to the highest ability possible.
